Going ANYWHERE with two babes is no joke. It's such a process packing, and I most ALWAYS forget something important. One time I actually forgot to pack anyyy extra clothes/diaper for Bella and we drove home with her swaddled up in a towel. She promised to tell us if she had to go.. [I'm saving this 'potty-training regression' for another post]
If we go anywhere it's always when Mike has a day off - because yeah I don't have the balls yet to go anywhere alone with them (besides our flight home). One day. But if it's not the grocery store, we hit the lake. We live about 10-15 minutes away from a few different lakes in our area, our favorites being Lake Sammamish or Lake Washington. AND APPARENTLY - this whole next month of August is forecasted to have ZERO CHANCE of precipitation.
So you'll know where we will be.
Some of our must-haves over this past weekend was obviously my Nora NYC Sunglasses have been everywhere with me since I got them. And yeah... that little 4-month old is going to down over there. I would not be surprised if a tooth popped next month.
Seriously so glad I was introduced to Bella B Naturals because.. their body & nipple cream does. not. leave. my. diaper. bag. Not only does it smell like "silk & honey" - yeah, amazing right? But it's also free of petroleum, lanolin, and parabens. We also have their shampoo, body wash, and conditioner.. BEST SMELLING BABY EVER. You can shop their line of organic products here at Bella B Naturals BodyCare - you thought your baby smelled good before.. just you wait.
Because this little drool monster can't keep anything out of her mouth nor be put down.. both my Nom Nom Necklace & Elbe Sling honestly have been glued to me.
My TOP THREE favorite features of this sling are:
1. ITS SO EASY to put on - especially with having a two year old running around. I really don't have too much time tossing a bunch of fabric around me. [Don't get me wrong - I use wraps CONSTANTLY - saving that post for another time] Other than the fabric being extremely soft & strong.. can hold a babe up to 35 lbs! Click here to see their tutorial on how to put on and use their sling!
2. NURSING friendly - it's so unbelievably easy to nurse in; simply holding her bum with one hand, I use my other to lift the 'top' gold ring.. which then frees fabric, dropping your babe to chest level. Once latched and in place, still holding her bum, I tighten the sling by pulling down on the tail. Then adjust the cloth in within the ring to make sure nothing is 'over-lapping' [you'll understand once you see their tutorial].
3. SAFE & SECURE - honestly, this was my VERY first sling & after just a couple times slipping Ava in, and adjusting it.. it's really easy to position them and adjust your sling accordingly and once you found 'the spot' you just get the hang of it. I think the bigger she gets the more I'll love having her just sitting there on my hip. I wish I could Elbe Baby wear forever.
They also just released 'mini-slings' for you minis & their dollies. Pretty freaking cute right?
Even if your little one isn't teething yet, Nom Nom Necklaces also has the cutest pacifier clips! My favorite pacifier has been their 'marble & wood' look and their silicon-pearl necklace and light pink beaded silicon bracelet has been with my every outfit. Ava is a fan too.
The bows that Bella are wearing were also featured in my last post, by Coco & Manu - they also have THEEE cutest clothing. I really need to put my order in for a couple of their hand-made rompers. They are just the cutest. You have to check them out.
If you haven't noticed, my floral obsession is ridiculous. I have way too many dresses, and of course my carseat cover had to be floral. I got this awesome versatile cover from CopperPearl and it was designed by 'Indy Bloom'. This cover is not only for a carseat, but for a shopping cart, high-chair, while nursing, and when not being used - can be your fashionable infinity scarf!
